Announcements
Back to School 2011
21st Century Community Learning Center and the Montrose Elementary After-School Programs are pleased to announce its 10th year of quality before and after school programming.  Please refer to your school site registration to see if before school programs are available.

Students will be offered academic, enrichment and recreation activities at four sites in the District:  Centennial Middle School, Olathe Middle School, Olathe Elementary School, and the Montrose Elementary School site (serving Cottonwood, Johnson, Northside, Oak Grove and Pomona).  The Montrose Elementary School site is located at Pomona Elementary School for after-school activities.

Programs for students will take place Monday - Friday from student dismissal until 5:45 p.m. every day school is in session.  Upon arrival, students check in and receive a snack.  We follow the MCSD RE-1J calendar and change our classes each quarter.  We offer two hours of sessions each day and three hours of sessions on Wednesdays to accomodate the early release.  Announcements for specific program offerings will be sent home to students four times a year to correspond with the school quarters.  Announcements are also available online:  www.mcsd.org to to Departments; Curriculum and Instruction; 21st Century Community Learning Centers.  That page has the links to each school site.

Programming begins the first day of school, August 22, 2011, and ends the last full day of school.  We hire licensed teachers, school district paraprofessionals, and highly qualified instructors from the community in efforts to improve students' academic success and provide programming in a safe, structured environment that compliments and supports the regular school day.  Programming is fee based.  Students who qualify for Free and Reduced lunch also qualify for a discount for program fees.  Please note that there is NO CHARGE for homework help and tutoring classes at the middle school sites.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU 2011-2012!
